Location
The Feminist Archive North office is in Room 1.10 on the first floor of the Brotherton Library, which is inside the Parkinson Building. Our collections are housed elsewhere in the building, in a special temperature-controlled environment which has no public access. Currently no visitors are allowed in the office, but we can meet visitors elsewhere in the building.
Opening hours
The Feminist Archive North office is currently only staffed on Thursdays, 10am-4pm. Special Collections, where materials can be viewed, is generally open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm and Saturday 10am-1pm, though this can vary according to term dates. See Special Collections for precise opening times.
Getting here
The Find Us page on the Leeds University website has a campus map and gives information about getting to the campus by train, bus and walking. There is also information about parking (which is very limited) and disabled parking.
Disability access
Wheelchair access to Special Collections is via the entrance to the School of Chemistry, which is just past the steps at the front of the Parkinson Building. The door opens automatically 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. When you enter the building turn left and keep going through the cafe area until you reach the main reception desk. From here there are lifts to reach Special Collections – ask at reception for assistance.
Special Collections has an adjustable desk for wheelchair users. There is also a portable induction loop.
