Logo of the Association of Librarians and Information Professionals in the Social Sciences

The relationship between material culture and women’s activism is the topic of an online event organised by the Association of Librarians and Information Professionals in the Social Sciences (ALISS) to celebrate Women’s History Month. A range of speakers will offer insights from archival collections covering women’s history and will showcase examples of objects held in special collections and archives

Presenters will include Elizabeth Crawford, the author of a forthcoming book on The British Women’s Suffrage Movement in 100 objects, and Helen Burton and Ash Coffey from Keele University on the North Staffordshire Miners’ Wives Action Group Archive.

It takes place on Thursday 19 March, 2-4pm, and booking is free. To register email Heather Dawson.
