Embrace The Base took place on the 12th December 1982, when 30,000 women held hands around the 8 mile perimetre fence of RAF Greenham Common, to protest the global nuclear order, the British state and the patriarchy. Buy this book. Published in 2018, it has summaries of WLM activism, from Miss America to Greenham Common. Above all, it is full of pictures of posters, badges, and placards you will remember and want to keep. Access reopened to FAN collections

Because of major building works, Feminist Archive North will not reopen until October or November 2021. However, the Special Collections reading room is now open again on a limited basis, so it is possible to view our collections.
