The speaker at the Sheffield Feminist Network’s Annual Book Reading is Julie Bindel, author, journalist and activist. Julie, who has long campaigned against global violence affecting women and girls, will be speaking about her new book The Pimping of Prostitution, which examines the arguments and controversies about the prostitution debate. Drawing on 250 interviews and other research detailing the lived experience of people affected by/involved in the international sex trade, it gives voice especially to those who have survived.
